ZAPPCON brings together the best of geek culture for two days in Fresno, California. The weekend not only offers people a chance to meet others who share their passions, but also opportunities to learn new skills or improve on existing ones. More than 100 vendors have their goods for sale, special guests speak about their experiences and experts share their knowledge in our “how-to” panel track. Tabletop gaming as well as video gaming round out the weekend and offer chances to learn new games as well as play in tournaments for favorites.
ZAPPCON Year Two
October 17-18, 2015.
The numbers are in and Zapp Con grew incredibly in Year Two. More than 2,000 people came out for geeky fun and shopped at 120 different booths (if you’re a data nerd like Jennifer, that’s more than 60 percent growth in attendance).
Thanks to all of you who joined in the geekery all weekend!

ZAPPCON was founded by Michael “MJ” Ramirez.
We lost MJ too soon to complications with his heart at the young age of thirty-eight, March 12, 2014. Mike was a friend, father, husband, writer, and homeschool ninja. He was not only talented at what he did, but always treated those around him with respect. The ZAPPCON board members, David Holland, Jennifer Ward, Sammy Gonzales and Sarah Gonzales hope that ZAPPCON will continue to pay tribute to MJ’s memory year after year.
